CityScape is working with Floura Teeter Landscape Architects & Alban Engineers to develop designs for Phase 2 improvements at the Henrietta Lacks Educational Park. Led by Parks & People Foundation, Baltimore City Department of Recreation & Parks, and the Johnston Square Neighborhood, we are soliciting community input and figuring out site and recreational improvements for the portion of the park along Valley Street.
This work builds upon the Phase 1 park improvements completed in 2019, which included a splash pad and basketball court renovations. Proposed Phase 2 improvements will include new tennis & pickleball courts, a skate spot, and a garden space to support Johnston Square elementary.
